I qualified as a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist from the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust in London, under the tuition of Michael Kern, Katherine Ukleja, Tracy Evans and other inspiring tutors. I hold a Diploma in ‘Living Anatomy’, fully accredited by the Association of Physical and Natural Therapists (APNT). I am a registered member of the Craniosacral Therapy Association and fully adhere to their Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. I also hold an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate.

Additional to my craniosacral practice, I gained an MA in Dance Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance in 2009. My training and wealth of experience in the field of dance and choreography underpins my understanding of the body in all its richness and wisdom, and my continued enquiries into movement inform my approach to this work.

I value the cultivation of a safe, attentive and non-judgmental environment where your individual needs can be heard and met.

About Craniosacral Therapy

Your body is quietly seeking perfect health at every moment. Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle but profound healing modality that supports the body’s inherent capacity for self-repair and regeneration. It takes a patient-centred approach that appreciates the body as a whole and intelligent system of function.

What is unique about Craniosacral Therapy is its ability to work with the source of symptoms on every level, whether mental, physical or emotional, and can therefore address a wide variety of conditions. For example, if the body has had to cope with illness, injury, shock or long-term stress, then its capacity for self-healing can become compromised. Craniosacral therapy can help the whole person to recover a sense of vitality and flow, allowing the body to subtly re-organise and re-balance towards its original state of health.

For more information about Craniosacral Therapy visit the CSTA website.

What will happen in a session?

Your practitioner will take a comprehensive case history, listening with care to the reasons for your visit. During the session they will make gentle, non-invasive contact on different areas of your body with an attentive and non-judgmental presence.

The tide-like motions of the craniosacral system can be felt throughout the whole body and are our deepest expression of health. Your practitioner uses their hands and senses to listen to these subtle rhythmic motions, as well as to where there might be places of ‘stuckness’ or stasis. They help support the unfolding of the healing process guided by your body’s own profound intelligence. All this will highlight your individual needs and the practitioner will respond accordingly in dialogue with you and your experience.Tara Silverhorn - Craniosacral Therapist

Craniosacral Therapy allows the process of change and healing to take place by meeting you at your own pace. It can also be used to support overall health and wellbeing on an ongoing basis, helping to develop a sense of vitality, grounding and resilience throughout life’s challenges.
