Shamanic Healing
Shamanism is an ancient animist Earth Medicine that regards all life as having a soul, intelligence and healing power.
The shaman uses the drum, rattle and sound to achieve an altered state of consciousness, or heightened awareness, through which she or he receives guidance from the human, animal and plant realms to assist healing.
Through this state, the practitioner’s sight, sentience and hearing is more acute and thus able to:
- Track debilitating core beliefs that lead to patterns of behaviour and offer alternative attitudes and approaches to life
- Work with and extract the spirit of an illness or sense of dis-ease, (physical and energetic)
- Break debilitating ancestral patterns (learned and carried in our DNA)
- Retrieve parts lost in shock or trauma to restore calm, clarity and vitality
How does it work?
Based on the concept of Soul, shamanic healing focuses on retrieving soul pieces lost to shock or trauma.
We all experience soul loss.
As human beings we all experience difficult and traumatic moments in our lives, be they through: bereavement, divorce, relationship difficulties, bullying, abuse, fertility problems and abortion to name but a few.
In times of difficulty parts of us flee to safe places in non-ordinary reality, rather than experience the situation.
We may then feel a little off kilter, or not as strong as we did before a particular event and/or have adapted to survive.
By journeying in the invisible realm, the practitioner retrieves parts lost. With their return, these parts bring with them lost power and innate qualities lost (e.g. joy, trust, strength and/or outspokenness) that help us feel more whole once again.
What conditions can it help with?
Shamanic Healing is useful for anyone wishing to have a wellbeing ‘M.O.T’ / re-tuning to restore vitality and strength.
It can also help with:
- General wellbeing
- Low self-esteem
- Anxiety, stuck anger and sadness
- Separation and relationship difficulties
- Fertility difficulties
- Miscarriage and abortion
- Abuse: physical, emotional and mental
- A string of bad luck
- Life choices and changes in life direction
What can I expect in a session?
How I work:
At the start of the session we will talk about what you would like to focus on. I will then journey to my allies to receive instruction of the work that will best suit your needs and any information that will provide the key to unlocking blockages or dis-ease.
(By the way, it is absolutely fine if you have come for general wellbeing, or if it’s curiosity that brought you here.)
You will then be invited to lie down, fully clothed, and simply relax.
You will then receive:
- A cleansing of your energetic, emotional and physical fields
- Focused work on your chosen issue (or on whatever presents itself if you wish to receive a healing for general wellbeing or out of curiosity)
- Retrieval (soul parts, personal power and/or power animal)
- Rebalancing of chakras
At the end of the healing I will tell you what advice or suggestions I have received for you by my allies, and/or yours.
A healing leaves you feeling calm, clear and empowered.
My practices are a weaving of Core Shamanism and the Path Of Pollen Tradition.
There is no ‘initial appointment’ as such.
In most cases one session is enough and the client is welcome back whenever they feel the need for another healing. In other situations however, there may be a need for the work to be done over a couple or more sessions (the frequency is always Spirit-led, as are all sessions).
