Jill Glover – Director

Jill Glover qualified as an acupuncturist in 1985, and subsequently in Chinese herbal medicine and coaching. She has been a teacher and clinical supervisor at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine since its inception in 1993. Her primary teaching now is postgraduate work in women’s health and fertility acupuncture. She teaches the majority of the Gynaecology, Fertility and Obstetrics Diploma at the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

In 2001, she set up the clinic at the Alma Vale Centre with three other colleagues as co-directors. They since left for retirement or other ventures leaving Jill to take charge as sole director and owner of the Alma Vale Centre.

She surprised herself at how much she enjoys running the centre! After revamping the treatment spaces to create warm, inviting and flexible rooms, she set about building a team of trusted, first-rate, highly-qualified practitioners offering a range of different therapies from Acupuncture and Massage to Physiotherapy and Craniosacral Therapy. She also took the opportunity to create a focus on women’s health and fertility, an area she is passionate about.

Given the benefits that acupuncture can provide for a whole range of conditions, for all types of people, Jill is keen to pass on her expertise and experience to others training in the profession. So, she continues to teach in acupuncture, and now also provides mentoring for new acupuncturists to support their early practice – the type of help that wasn’t available when she started. Jill has two excellent associates who work alongside her as part of Alma Vale Acupuncture team.
