After living in Brighton for 15 years I’ve made the move to the West country and Bristol, a city I’ve always loved visiting and can now call home.
I’ve been a massage practitioner for 5 years and it’s a job I find hugely rewarding. I feel it’s much more than a job though, when I treat clients I feel the benefits too. I believe that receiving a treatment is an opportunity to be in the moment, to let go of thoughts, to tune in to our bodies and the sensations within it. This is basic self-care and too easily forgotten. When I treat, I’m in the moment too.
My initial massage course was holistic therapies and I have since added deep tissue techniques, indian head massage, hot stone therapy and advanced clinical massage techniques to give me a broader skill base as I’ve found myself wanting to learn more and to be able to offer more.
At The Alma Vale Centre I will be offering Holistic massage, Hot Stone massage, Indian Head massage, Deep tissue massage and Aromatherapy massage.
My experiences include working in a day spa, volunteering at a hospice, working in healing areas at festivals and events, being a member of a complementary therapy charity and treating private clients in my own home. This variety of settings has given me the ability to adapt and to be professional.
I also have counselling qualifications which have proved invaluable in my work as a therapist.
I’m looking forward to meeting new clients and giving a service that’s as individual as it is rejuvenating.
