Life Coach

A life coach will encourage you to explore what you really want from your life, where you are now, and how to get to where you would like to be. Your coach will keep you focused, motivated and accountable whilst moving towards your goals.

The aim of each session is to help you will feel empowered and begin to discover new ways to overcome challenges, setbacks and limiting beliefs. A life coach will help you to identify the many resources you already have that have already proved to be successful for you.

Why see a life coach?
A life coach can help you to achieve a break through if you’re feeling stuck. You may see a life coach to enable you to tackle an immediate, or an on-going problem. Our difficulties and limitations can hold us back from living the fulfilled lives that we deserve unless you choose to overcome them. It may be that you want to make some changes in your love life, with your family, in your career, or with your health. You may want support to start standing up for yourself, or encouragement to take your career to the next level. Using specialist techniques, questions and answers, a life coach will help you to break goals down into manageable and achievable sizes giving you the confidence and inspiration you need to make some radical changes in your life.
What can I expect from a life coaching session?
It is very important that you feel comfortable with your life coach. Having a trusting and positive relationship will support the process. Find a life coach with whom you have easy rapport. Your first session will allow you and your life coach to get to know each other. It is also an opportunity to look at what issue you may want to overcome. A life coach will not tell you what to do. You will be supported to discover for yourself what you want to achieve and experiment with solutions that work for you.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions you choose to have is variable and up to you. Usually, an original contract for 6 sessions will be agreed with the opportunity to review this during session three. Some people continue to see their coach on a regular basis to enable them to keep on track of the changes they want to make. Monthly or bi-monthly sessions are very common for those wanting to continue seeing their coach for a significant amount of time.
Do life coaches have qualifications?
Yes and no. Life coaching is not yet regulated in the UK, so life coaches are not required to have qualifications. However, there are many recognised courses that Life Coaches attend either in Life Coaching or NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). Most clients will favour coaches who have qualifications and are affiliated with professional organisations; this shows they have the proper experience, knowledge and skills. We recommend before seeing a life coach checking that they have relevant accredited qualifications.
How much does it cost?

The cost of a coaching session varies with each practitioner:
