Being Seen
To mark Mental Health Awareness Day we wanted to share some of the ways our therapies can help you take positive action to improve your wellbeing.
The focus of this year’s Awareness Week is about being seen and receiving the right support. As Mind puts it: ‘The right mental health support can change lives. It can stop people reaching crisis point. It can save lives.’
Bereavement Counselling with Sue Llewellyn

Sue Llewellyn is a specialist bereavement counsellor helping those experiencing a range of issues due to the effects of loss and grief, both recent and historic.
Grief is very personal and can be overwhelming, leaving us struggling to cope with our lives.
Sue’s focus is to provide a safe and empathetic environment where you feel understood and supported to find your way through your grief.
She also offers you coping strategies that will help you to move forwards, and adjust to life after your loss.
CBT with Lindsay Chavasse
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) helps you to learn a healthier way of thinking which impacts on how you feel and then behave.

It helps you to deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts.
You are shown how to change these negative patterns to improve the way you feel.

Acupuncture
Most people get off the acupuncture couch saying how calm and relaxed they feel. It is an effective treatment to combat anxiety, stress, and depression.
Acupuncture can help in many ways, including to:
- promote vision and renewal, moviing from hopelessness into a new cycle of life
- calm the mind and balance hormones
- gather the mind at times of scattered thoughts, fears, and anxieties
- settle the nervous system
- restore equilibrium.
