Julie Kelham’s passion for Chinese Medicine began over 20 years ago when she trained in Auricular Acupuncture to treat addiction issues. She practices Integrated Acupuncture which is a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element Acupuncture.
In her practice, Julie sees people with a wide range of health issues. Her main interest and area of clinical work is Women’s Health and Wellbeing (particularly optimising fertility, gynaecological issues, and supporting women through the Menopause), and she has developed a depth of knowledge and expertise in these specialized areas.
What Julie Kelham deeply values and respects about Chinese Medicine is the holistic and individual approach which it offers, whereby each treatment is unique to each person supporting their physical, emotional and mental health on an energetic level. Julie creates a space where people feel listened to and supported with the challenges in their lives.
Previously, Julie trained as a Social Worker and has worked in the Drug/Alcohol, Mental Health, and Social Housing Field. She has worked with a diverse range of people with complex needs and brings this experience to her acupuncture.
Julie is a member of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (AAC) and works within a strict code of conduct maintaining a high standard of practice. She has an ongoing commitment to personal and professional development which includes clinical supervision and specialized training.
