“It is with great joy that I am joining Alma Vale. I’m excited to become a part of the talented team of practitioners which provide support and change for so many patients.

I began my career in acupuncture in 2014 by studying at the internationally renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading. After experiencing myself the subtle, yet powerfully, transformative effect of acupuncture I was determined to learn these ancient skills which are so effective in counteracting the diseases of modern life.

Like many complementary practitioners, I started my career in the corporate world. After my degree in Modern History from Trinity College, Dublin I spent eight years in corporate responsibility and social marketing working in London, Honduras, Glasgow and Bristol. As my career progressed my interests increasingly shifted from the corporate to complementary world. I initiated my career change by training as a holistic massage therapist but after experiencing the powerful benefits of acupuncture after a road accident my passion for acupuncture was born.

During my three and half years of training, I have specialised in women’s health in particular the effect of acupuncture on menorrhagia – heavy menstrual bleeding, which affects a quarter of women. I have also completed additional training in the treatment of Endometriosis and PCOS.

I am qualified in Five Element and Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture which means clients are treated on emotional or ‘spirit’ level as well as for physical problems.

I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council; whose aim is to ensure all patients receive the highest standard of professional care and will complete my degree in November 2017.”
