Liz Brown - Physiotherapist at the Alma Vale Centre

Liz Brown

Fairly new to Bristol, Liz Brown’s physiotherapy background has been in private healthcare in France and as an NHS locum in the UK, after a masters qualification from King’s College London.

She has decided to hone in her knowledge and learning from the last few years and offer a more specialist women’s health service in Bristol at the Alma Vale Centre, taking inspiration from high quality post-partum care offered in France, where 10 physiotherapy sessions are offered as standard.

Liz is passionate about improving the quality of women’s health physiotherapy in the UK. ‘One third of women in the UK between 35-55 years old suffer leakage’ and few seek help. Many are suffering in silence and have leakage / pelvic floor issues branded as ‘normal’ – but there is a simple solution with physiotherapy exercises!

Liz is an HCPC, CSP, POGP registered physiotherapist with a speciality in women’s health (pre & post-partum). She also treats sporting and post-surgical non-pelvic conditions and has worked both in the NHS and for sports teams. She offers 1-2-1 pilates, post-surgical and post-injury rehabilitation, medical acupuncture and taping.

Outside of spreading the word about the pelvic floor, in her spare time she loves surfing and exploring the outdoors!
