Helen McLoughlin is a chartered HCPC, CSP, POGP registered physiotherapist with more than 10 years of experience in both musculoskeletal and women’s health. She completed her BSC Honours degree in Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2012.
Helen’s Physiotherapy treatments combine advice and physical therapy to restore movement, build strength, and improve body function.
She has worked in the NHS and private practice, including in musculoskeletal outpatient and orthopaedic clinics. She has also worked in a maternity hospital and in women’s health services.
Helen teaches Pilates to individuals of all ability, qualifying in 2013 in the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) method, which is physiotherapy directed. Teaching one-to-one allows her to customise the exercise programmes. She believes that Pilates empowers people to challenge themselves, and sees rapid changes in her clients’ posture and strength, from early on.
Helen loves to introduce Pilates to those who have never tried it before. She also enjoys seeing women who are ante-natal and post-natal, who want to feel confident with exercising and strengthening.
Outside of work, Helen loves to travel and enjoys yoga, photography and surfing. She is originally from Ireland, but has been living in the UK for the past 15 years.
