Tiffany Black

Qualifications

  • BSC (Hons) in Chinese Medicine

Tiffany is also a member of the British Acupuncture Council

Tiffany Black qualified with a first class BSc (Hons) degree from the internationally renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading and practices Integrated Acupuncture – a combination of Five Element Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Her special area of interest is women’s health, in particular menorrhagia (heavy menses). She has completed additional specialist training in the treatment of Female infertility, Endometriosis, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and Male Infertility. Tiffany has also completed additional training with renown pediatric acupuncturist Rebecca Avern, in treating teenagers with acupuncture including conditions such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, self-harm, headaches and mensural irregularities.

Tiffany is passionate about using the ancient teachings of Chinese Medicine, both the Five Element and Traditional Chinese Medicine disciplines, to help patients with modern day problems from stress and anxiety, gynaecological disorders to chronic disease. Her focus is to establish the root cause of dis-ease to enable the body to gently rebalance and repair.

Prior to becoming an acupuncturist Tiffany gained a BA (Hons) in Modern History from Trinity College, Dublin and went on to spend the next eight years in corporate responsibility and social marketing working in London, Honduras, Glasgow, and Bristol. Having always had a long-standing interest in complementary therapies, and looking for a change from the corporate world, Tiffany initially trained as a holistic massage therapist and practiced part time alongside her main career. After personally experiencing the transformative effect of acupuncture, however, she discovered where her true interest lay and decided to pursue a career in Chinese Medicine.

Tiffany is Jill Glover’s Senior Associate, and so has access to Jill’s years of experience while treating clients.

Tiffany is a member of the British Acupuncture Council, whose aim is to ensure all patients receive the highest standard of professional care.

She lives in South Gloucestershire with her husband and two children.

Acupuncture

“Grief is painful, lonely and ongoing. It doesn’t go away, we learn to live with it and we find tools to help us to do that. For me, acupuncture with Tiffany has been an incredibly valuable tool to help me to adapt to life with grief and I feel sure that without it, my path over the past few months would have been even harder to navigate. Every session of acupuncture with Tiffany feels like a small release, and keeps everything within me moving. Tiffany has the most warm, kind and caring treatment style. I have never felt like I have to box up my grief to get through our appointments. With Tiffany, I am free to come exactly as I am; there is plenty of space for whatever I am feeling, emotionally or physically. The treatments are warm, relaxing, always different and always exactly what I need. I’d recommend that anyone trying to live with grief give acupuncture with Tiffany a try.”
