Through her previous work in science journalism and educational psychology, Emma Edwards developed a desire to become a therapist. She qualified in Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy in 2011 at the Clifton Practice.
Emma’s own neurodiversity (ADD and dyslexia) and work within special education has given her an interest in working with those affected by ADHD and autism. Emma has run wellbeing courses and classes for Bristol Autism Support, and currently runs weekly classes; and workshops, retreats, and courses for carers of autistic children.
She qualified as a yoga teacher in 2017, completing my 200 hours and then my 550 hours, at Yogasara, in Bristol. This has influenced her in the therapy room quite a bit; especially breathing techniques and using yoga nidra. Emma has also retained a love of writing, and loves to blog.
Emma Edwards undertakes continuous CPD with the Clifton Practice. She also maintains a professional standard as a member of the AfSFH, The Independent Yoga Teachers Network, and the NCH. Emma has also completed the Easibirth Hypnobirthing course and has done various CPD days with the Human Givens Institute. Her first BA, way back when, was in Media and Cultural Studies and she an MA in writing for New Media.

“Emma is a kind, compassionate and fantastic hypnotherapist. She cares very deeply for her clients and I felt so at ease in her care. I saw Emma to help with insomnia and she provided me with all the tools I needed to get myself back on track. If you’re thinking of seeing Emma, do not hesitate to get in contact with her, it was the best decision I made!”Lucy
“I contacted a bunch of therapists and Emma was the one who most got where I was coming from and why I felt the way I did. I had been put off by other therapists talking about healing energies and auras and stuff, but Emma clearly is incredibly well read and really knows her stuff. Her mix of metaphor and actual science was really helpful and she is also generally a very, very lovely person.”Emmy
“I was seeing Emma for all sorts of anxieties last year. it was my first experience with hypnotherapy so I wasn’t sure how it would effect me. After a just a couple of months everything was cleared. I got my confidence in life and clarity in my decisions back. I felt strong again and happy. About a month later I went back to have the no smoking session. later that month with ease, I had stopped smoking. I’m so grateful for my sessions with Emma and not only did they work but she was so easy to talk. I will definitely go back to Emma if needed. Highly recommend. thank Emma 🙂”Gypsie
