Jill Glover – Director

Jill Glover qualified as an acupuncturist in 1985, and subsequently in Chinese herbal medicine and coaching. She has been a teacher and clinical supervisor at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine since its inception in 1993.

In 2001, she set up the clinic at the Alma Vale Centre with three other colleagues as co-directors. From 2014 – 2016, three co-directors left the centre for retirement or other ventures leaving Jill to take charge as sole director and owner of the Alma Vale Centre.

She surprised herself at how much she enjoys running the centre on her own! After revamping the treatment spaces to create warm, inviting and flexible rooms, she set about building a team of trusted, first-rate, highly-qualified practitioners offering a range of different therapies from acupuncture and massage to psychotherapy and reiki. She also took the opportunity to create a focus on women’s health and fertility, an area she is passionate about.

Given the benefits that acupuncture can provide for a whole range of conditions, for all types of people, Jill is keen to pass on her expertise and experience to others training in the profession. So she continues to teach in acupuncture, and now also provides mentoring for new acupuncturists to help them get up and running successfully – the type of help that wasn’t available when she started.

Jill is also looking to bring in new therapists, those who would complement the types of therapy the clinic already has on offer. It is important to her that the Alma Vale Centre continues to operate as a first-class complementary health clinic with various treatment choices on offer, so as to help as many different people as possible.

Sarah Worley – Centre Manager

Sarah initially joined the centre in 2011 as receptionist and adminitrator. During this time, she has supported Jill Glover and the centre through major changes and restructures as the original 4 directors retired or moved on to other ventures. With these changes, her role grew to centre manger in 2013.

Sarah loves the variety of her role at the Alma Vale Centre – from liasing with current practitoners and keeping the centre running smoothly to meeting a range of new, interesting therapists and learning about new treatments. Sarah provides marketing training, makes major changes to the website, posts regular social media and so much more.
